The inaugural FairPrice Golf Charity, held in October 2006, was organised in aid of Food from the Heart. The charity event raised more than S$200,000 providing Food from the Heart the needed funds to continue its worthy cause of distributing free bread and groceries to the destitute.
FairPrice Big Heart Challenge 2007
NTUC FairPrice called on Singaporeans to take up a nation-wide challenge to raise funds for the needy through the inaugural FairPrice Big Heart Challenge in 2007. For every paper heart collected, FairPrice pledged to donate 30 cents in aid of five charities under the Community Chest. The FairPrice Big Heart Challenge ended on a high note with more than 1,100,000 hearts collected over two and a half weeks, a feat that raised more than S$330,000 for the needy.
Fundraising for Children's Cancer Foundation
In conjunction with the celebration of the first anniversary of Ang Mo Kio Hypermart, S$10,000 was raised for the Children's Cancer Foundation in March 2008.
Fundraising for Community Chest
In July 2008, FairPrice joined hands with business partners to raise S$380,000 for three beneficiaries under Community Chest, namely Bukit Ho Swee Family Service Centre, Tampines Family Service Centre and Trans Centre (Bedok).
FairPrice has been a key supporter of Community Chest through the years. In March 2008, NTUC FairPrice Foundation, a charity fully funded by FairPrice, contributed S$300,000 to Community Chest, in aid of Bright Hill Evergreen Home, Care Corner Family Service Centre (Queenstown), Hospice
