Q1: I would like to be a FairPrice member to enjoy the patronage rebate. How do I apply for FairPrice membership?

A1: To be eligible for FairPrice membership, one must be a union member or a member of the NTUC General Branch. The latter is catered for those whose workplace does not have an in-house union or for those in managerial / executive positions. Upon acquiring the aforesaid membership, one must then apply to purchase FairPrice shares (for 20 shares only) at $1 per share plus $3 entrance fee. Q2: I have signed up for FairPrice membership but have still not received the membership card. How long does it take to process?

A2: With effect from 1 April 1999, FairPrice is not issuing its own membership card as the member will have an NTUC Plus! Card which also serves as a FairPrice membership card for the purpose of patronage rebate. With regards to the processing of NTUC Plus! Card, please call NTUC Membership Hotline 6213 8008 or visit its website: www.ntuc.org.sg

Q3: I have been issued with an NTUC Plus! Card. Can I use this card at FairPrice supermarkets to gain Link Points and at the same time, earn patronage rebate?

A3: You will be awarded the Link Points as well as the patronage rebate provided you are already a FairPrice member. If you are not a FairPrice member, only the Link Points will be awarded but no patronage rebate.

Q4: The dividend / rebate payment is credited into my bank account annually through Inter-Bank Giro (IBG). What should I do if I have changed my bank account?

A4: You have to inform FairPrice in writing about it through Fax: 6459 3060 or Email: fairprice.membership@fairprice.com.sg. You can also complete the Change of Bank Account form which is obtainable at any FairPrice supermarket or click here to download the form.

 

Q5: I have changed my home address. Must I write to FairPrice about it?

A5: You need not do so in writing. You can give a call at Tel: 6456 8706 or 6456 8756 (Hotline) during office hours.

Q6: I am a FairPrice member. My wife is not a FairPrice member. Can I apply for a supplementary card for her?

A6: Yes, you can. You need to complete an application form for a supplementary card (for husband/wife/parent) which is obtainable at any FairPrice supermarket or click here to download the form. A processing fee of $5 is payable upon such an application. If payment is by cheque, it should be issued in favour of “NTUC Fairprice Co-operative Ltd”.

Q7: I lost my FairPrice membership card. Can I get a replacement?

A7: You need to complete an application for replacement of lost / damaged FairPrice membership card which is obtainable at any FairPrice supermarket or click here to download the form. A processing fee of $5 is payable upon such an application. If payment is by cheque, it should be issued in favour of “NTUC Fairprice Co-operative Ltd”.

Q8: I lost my NTUC Plus! card. How do I report the lost?

A8: The NTUC Plus! card is issued, managed and own by NTUC Link Private Limited. You should report the lost to them at Tel: 6223 5225, Email: enquiries@ntuclink.com.sg

Q9: I have not nominated anyone to be the beneficiary of my FairPrice shares. Can I make a nomination?

A9: Yes. You can request for a nomination form or click here to download the form.

 

Q10: I joined FairPrice when I was a union member. I have ceased to be a union member. Can I continue to be a FairPrice member as I am holding FairPrice shares?

A10: Once you have ceased to be a union member, your FairPrice membership will also be terminated and the shares will be refunded to you at $1 per share.

Q11: I now wish to subscribe to the Lifestyle! Magazine which I have not done earlier in my application. Must I submit any application?

A11: You can call us at Tel: 6456 8706 or 6456 8756 (Hotline) during office hours or email us at fairprice.membership@fairprice.com.sg to re-instate the subscription of the magazine.
