Breakfast is the most important meal of the day — especially during the exam period, when a fuller tummy can mean a more alert mind.

This is why, for the first time ever, FairPrice Group (FPG) and its convenience store chains Cheers and FairPrice Xpress launched the Cheers Breakfast Club — just in time for the recent Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).

Smiles all around as the students collect their breakfast bundles, ready to tackle the day. 

From 20 to 21 September, Cheers and FairPrice Express gave out 12,000 free breakfast bundles to all Primary 6 students taking the PSLE this year, on a first-come, first-served basis. The giveaway took place at 131 stores.

Each bundle was valued up to $25 and included nutritious and delicious breakfast essentials like Gardenia Fine Grain Wholemeal Bread, Milo UHT 200ml and FairPrice Less Sugar Nonya Kaya.

Each Cheers Breakfast Club bundle offers the perfect mix of essentials for a great morning start.

The Cheers Breakfast Club is one of many community initiatives funded by FairPrice Foundation, the philanthropic arm of FairPrice Group.

Vipul Chawla, Group CEO of FairPrice Group, says that health and nutrition play an important role in giving families and their children a strong head start in daily life.

“We recognise the exciting shared journey that PSLE examinations represent for many Singaporean students and their parents. This is a time in their lives where physical and mental well-being play a pivotal role, and at FairPrice Group, we believe that good nutrition is the key to maintaining a healthy balance of both,” he shares.

“Through initiatives like the Cheers Breakfast Club, we hope to make this rite of passage a bit more enjoyable, and the daily lives of our students and parents just a little better.”
