Zoo Med's Forest Floor Bedding is a natural product made from the ground bark of cypress trees. Forest Floor bedding is the preferred substrate for all type of frogs, toads, salamander, tarantulas, and insects. Many species of terrestrial land turtles do benefit from using Forest Floor bedding as their substrate but your should feed them on a separate container with no substrate or bedding. Open bag and pour content into terrarium. The substrate should be deep (5-8 cm) for all species of frogs, salamander and insects. For burrowing toads or tarantulas, or for keeping live terrarium plants, fill substrate at 3-4 ' deep. Clean and change when needed.
