Key Information
Binchotan is made by carbonizing oak wood inside the kiln at a temperature to about 1000 degree celsius to make the wood glowing red hot. For BBQ grilling, the charcoal burns and lasts longer compared to the other charcoals and give off no smoke with little ash. For alkalizing/filtering of water, simply put 1 or 2 charcoal sticks into a jug of water and leave it into the fridge overnight to purify water.
