Tilapia fish are farm harvested in the tropical region of South East Asia. They are gaining popularity due to the mild flavor and taste, versatility in preparation, and reasonably priced. Tilapia has a low to moderate fat content, and is a rich source of high quality protein. Currently Tilapia fish is the fourth most popular type of fish behind tuna, salmon and Alaskan Pollock in the US.
