- A new brand Hokkaido rice debuted in 2020. "SANSANMARU" is the first Japanese rice cultivated by direct seeding with low amylose content, saving time in the rice growing process. Since this new rice is formed by the same gene of YUMEPIRIKA, which is the most expensive and popular rice in Hokkaido, it is of a stickier and soft texture and has good sweetness. This rice is highly unique since it is originally produced by Matsubara Beikoku Co., Ltd. and the contracted farmer in Hokkaido who are passionate in cultivating rice. Oxygen absorber packets help to preserve freshness of rice and prevent growth of pests, with no side effects.
