It does not generate any sucking cycles to actively remove milk from the breast in an effective and efficient manner. The Collector creates a gentle vacuum when attached it to the breast to keep the breast milk collector in place. Using the Silicone Breast Milk Collector does not replace the need for an efficient manual or electric breast pump in any way.
