PREPARATION

  • Scallops must be thawed and fully cooked before consumption. Scallops should be firm and opaque when cooked.
  • [Pan Sear Icon] Pan Sear:
  • 1. Pat dry the scallops with kitchen paper and season them if necessary.
  • 2. Preheat a pan over medium heat and add olive oil or butter.
  • 3. Add the scallops and cook for 6 minutes (3 minutes on each side) or until golden browned.
  • [Pot Icon] Soup: Place the scallops in boiling soup and simmer till cooked.

STORAGE INFORMATION

  • Keep frozen (-18°C & below).
  • Once thawed, do not refreeze.

French scallops are wild-caught from the Normandy and Brittany coasts of France and flash frozen at sea to retain their original flavour and plump texture. These scallops are tender with a sweet buttery flavour, and ideal for high-heat cooking such as soups and broths, searing, baking, broiling, frying and grilling.
