PREPARATION

• 1. Wash hands before and after treating the wound.
• 2. Gently clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin.
• 3. Remove the dressing from the pouch.
• 4. Apply the Melolin pad to the wound. The shiny film side goes directly onto the wound.
• 5. Secure the Melolin pad in place with surgical tape or a dressing retention bandage.
• 6. Change dressing daily or more often according to the condition of the wound.
