Even quality motor oils can form acids due to combustion by-products, high temperatures and oxidation. Grit and sludge-forming acid residue can remain in the crankcase even after draining the engine oil and replace the filter. Condensation and gasket leaks often cause pockets of water to accumulate in pits & crevices as it does not mix with oil during ordinary draining. This contaminated residue can affect the lubrication life and engine protection of the new oil. Adding STP Engine Flush directly to the used motor oil prior to draining helps neutralize engine acids while it works to loosen and remove sludge, varnish and gum deposits that ordinary draining leaves behind. Water binding agent also allows STP Engine Flush to bind with water and flush out during draining process. STP Engine Flush contains an anti-wear additive to help protect engine surfaces during cleaning. Usage directions: 1. Ensure oil in crankcase is up to normal level 2. Allow the cars engine to run until it reaches normal operating temperature 3. Turn engine off 4. Add entire can of STP Engine Flush (treats from 3 to 6 litres of oil.) 5. Start engine and run at fast idle for 15 minutes 6. Do not drive vehicle when using STP Engine Flush 7.Turn engine off and carefully drain oil while still hot. 8. Replace oil filter. Pour in a good quality oil, and for extra protection add a cain of STP Oil Treatment. Usage frequency: Between every oil change.
