Ingredients

1 Ready-to-eat Japanese cheesecake

Strawberry Sauce
5 tbsp Strawberry jam
2 tbsp Lemon water

Candy Decoration
8 pcs Orange or lemon candy

Garnish
Chopped cashew nuts, almond nuts and walnuts
Sliced raspberries and/or strawberries

Method
  1. Place candy in a microwave-safe container and microwave at medium heat for around 1 minute. Stir and put it back in the microwave until the candy has melted completely.
  2. Prepare baking paper on a tray, then use a spoon to drizzle the melted candy over the baking paper creating any shape you like. Wait until the candy has hardened before carefully peeling the centrepiece from the baking sheet.
  3. In another microwave-safe bowl, place strawberry jam in it and microwave for 2 minutes (high heat) until it melts. Dilute the strawberry jam with lemon water. Let it cool down for 5 minutes before spreading it onto the cheesecake.
  4. Place the candy centrepiece in the middle of the cake, followed by your favourite berries and nuts before serving.

Tip: For spiral candy centrepieces, twirl melted candy around a steel knife-sharpening blade to create a tight spiral effect and slide it off from the blade. Make sure the candy is slightly cooler to hold its shape.
