Glutinous rice flour

Purple sweet potato, steamed and smashed.

Water

Coconut palm sugar mix
Ground almond nuts + coconut palm sugar for filling (2:1 ratio of ground almonds to palm sugar)

How to cook
Step 1
  • Knead the glutinous rice flour, purple sweet potato and a bit of water until the mixture can be rolled into a ball like a play dough.
Step 2
  • Pinch a small quantity of the dough and roll it into a ball.
Step 3
  • Press your finger into the ball to make a hollow and fill it up with coconut palm sugar mixture and roll the tiny dough back into a ball. Continue with the remaining dough.
Step 4
  • Cook the rice balls in the boiling water. Once the balls float onto the surface, remove them and coat with coconut flakes.
