Honey Masala Chicken Pita

Ingredients

1 Packet of Pasar Chicken Breast
1 Bag of Wholemeal Pita Bread
1 Packet of Magic Lettuce
4-5 tbsp of Yoghurt
1 Cucumber
1-2 Medium-sized Tomato
1 Red Onion
2 tbsp of Honey
1-2 tbsp of Soy Sauce
1½ tbsp of Masala Powder
1 Lime
2-3 Dashes of Garlic Powder
4-5 Dashes of Black Pepper
2 Dashes of Salt
1 tbsp of Sesame Oil
Handful of Chopped Coriander

Method

1. Prepare the Chicken and Marinate 

  • In a bowl, combine yoghurt, honey, soy sauce, masala powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Slice the chicken breast into thin fillets.
  • Add the chicken fillets to the marinade and toss well to coat evenly.
  • Allow the chicken to marinate for about 10–15 minutes.


2. Prepare the Vegetables 

  • Dice the tomatoes, cucumber, and onions. Season with salt, black pepper, and sesame oil.
  • Add chopped coriander and a squeeze of lime juice.


3. Cook the Chicken and Pita Bread

  • Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat, and sear the chicken until golden brown on all sides. Set aside.
  • Toast the pita bread in the oven for about 10 minutes.


4. Assemble 

  • Create a pocket in the pita bread.
  • Fill it with lettuce, chicken strips, and the diced vegetables.


5. Plate and enjoy!
