Japanese Udon Soup

300ml Water
2 tbsp Wakame seaweed
¼ cup Bonito flakes*
150g Silken tofu
1 large-sized Shiitake mushroom
200g Soft udon noodles

Optional: Add in some soba sauce, furikake or other toppings for added flavour

  • Prepare ingredients
    1. Cut the block of tofu into cubes
    2. Slice the Shiitake mushrooms into strips
  • Cooking the noodles
    1. Pour the water into the rice cooker and turn on the rice cooker to cook
    2. Place all the ingredients (wakame seaweed, bonito flakes, tofu & mushroom) inside the rice cooker
    3. Put in the udon noodles last and close the lid to cook
  • Serving
    1. Once noodles are cooked to desired consistency, turn off the rice cooker
    2. Serve warm in a bowl
