Ingredients
1 packet Seaco Snow Crab Legs
50g Vermicelli
10 cloves Garlic (minced)
2 stalks Spring Onions (finely chopped)
1-2 Red Chilli (Optional – finely chopped for a little spice)
1 tbsp Shaoxing Wine
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Sugar
½ tsp Salt (to taste)
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
Method
- Prepare the Vermicelli:
- Soak the vermicelli in warm water for 15–20 minutes to soften the noodles.
- Boil the soaked vermicelli for 2 minutes, then drain and soak in ice water. Set aside.
- Prepare the Crab Legs:
- Thaw the Seaco Snow Crab Legs completely.
- Prepare the Garlic Sauce:
- Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Sauté 2/3 of the minced garlic until fragrant (about 2 minutes).
- Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil and sugar. Stir and simmer for 1–2 minutes to combine.
- Add chopped red chilli (optional) and the remaining 1/3 of the garlic. Taste and adjust with salt as needed. Set the garlic sauce aside.
- Prepare the Steaming Tray:
- Mix 2 tsp of the garlic sauce with the cooked vermicelli.
- Spread the vermicelli mixture evenly on a steaming plate.
- Place the snow crab legs on top of the vermicelli.
- Drizzle the garlic sauce & Shaoxing wine over the snow crab legs and vermicelli.
- Steam the Dish:
- Boil water in a steamer or wok. Place the plate with crab and vermicelli in the steamer and steam for 5 minutes, or until the crab legs are cooked and the flavours meld.
- Garnish and Serve:
- After steaming, remove the dish from the steamer.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and red chilli, and drizzle the remaining garlic sauce.
- Serve and enjoy!
