Ingredients
Overnight rice for 2 pax
Ready packet fish broth from FairPrice
200g Red Grouper Fillet
4 – 5 small Onions (To make the fried shallots)
2 – 3 slices Ginger (julienned)
MARINADE FOR THE FISH
1 tbsp Light Sauce
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Cooking Wine
Dashes Pepper
Method
- Rinse lightly to clean the fish.
- Pat the fish dry and slice it to your preferred thickness.
- Marinate fish slices with light sauce, cooking wine, sesame oil and pepper. Set aside while preparing the soup.
- Fry the shallots.
- Heat up a pot and follow the instructions on the packet fish broth.
- Pour the broth, add 400 ml of water and let it boil.
- Once the broth is boiling, add the fish slices. Simmer for 3–5 mins at medium heat.
- Add the julienned ginger and, lastly, the cooked rice. Stir lightly.
- Once boiling, the dish is ready to serve.
- Garnish with fried shallots and parsley.
