NTUC FairPrice is Primary Partner of Singapore Food Festival for fourth year running
FairPrice brings the Singapore Food Festival to stores with extensive housebrand promotions, food sampling, 'makan classes' and Chef awards.
NTUC FairPrice is proud to be the primary partner of the Singapore Food Festival (SFF) for the fourth year running. This year's Singapore Food Festival, held from 4 to 27 July this year, promises to tantalize the taste buds with local delights that have been borne out from Singapore's rich cultural heritage.
This partnership is in line with FairPrice's long heritage in providing quality food at affordable costs. FairPrice's roots trace back to the 1970s when it was set up to set benchmark prices for essential food items amidst high inflation. Today, FairPrice continues to moderate the cost of living in Singapore.
NTUC FairPrice Group CEO Mr Tan Kian Chew said, "For more than 35 years, NTUC FairPrice has been fueling Singaporeans' passion for food by providing fresh, quality products at affordable costs. We have grown to be a trusted brand, serving the community with an extensive network of stores at convenient locations island-wide. We believe that the good food and good life should be within reach to all".
In conjunction with the SFF, attractive promotions on NTUC FairPrice housebrands will be held from 3 to 31 July this year, throughout the extensive network of outlets. Consumers currently enjoy a five percent discount for 500 essential housebrand items under the "Stretch Your Dollar" campaign.
Local chefs participating in the CityGas Chef of the Year Award 2008 supported by FairPrice, which is held in conjunction with the SFF for the second year, will also be using NTUC FairPrice housebrand products to create their own iconic local dishes for a shot at this prestigious award.
In addition, from early July, lucky shoppers of FairPrice Finest will get a chance to attend cooking classes, aptly called "Makan Classes", conducted by local culinary celebrities at half the usual admission fee.Back
