FairPrice and Tesco forge new partnership to enhance retail service and offerings
- The partnership is another boost to FairPrice’s expanding range of grocery offerings to include over 400 Tesco products
- Launch of a new experiential in-store Tesco finest* retailing concept found within FairPrice stores
SINGAPORE, 26 July 2017 – NTUC FairPrice (FairPrice) today officially announced a strategic partnership with Tesco, a leading multi-national food retailer based in the United Kingdom, to cater to the evolving needs of Singapore consumers through a wider range of quality international food products and a new Tesco finest* store-in-store retail experience.

Over 400 Tesco products available at FairPrice
Over 400 Tesco products offering a wide range of quality international food products at great value will be available across close to 60 FairPrice stores island-wide and on FairPrice Online, adding to FairPrice’s extensive stable of grocery products.
The range also includes Tesco finest*, with products such as Fair Trade certified coffees, authentic Italian pasta from Gragano, traditional British biscuits and a large selection of award-winning quality wines around the world. These best-in-class products cater to discerning customers who value authentic ingredients sourced with care.
The partnership will look to further extend the Tesco range to include an even greater variety of packaged and chilled foods in time.
New store-in-store concept
To further enhance the shopping experience for customers, selected FairPrice stores will now offer customers a new store-in-store grocery retail experience, starting with FairPrice Finest at Bukit Timah Plaza.
Customers will be able to enjoy the Tesco finest* shopping experience featuring a modern and sophisticated look-and-feel where about 150 specially curated Tesco products, including the widest selection of Tesco wines available in Singapore, will be available exclusively.
To provide an all-rounded experience, customers will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety Tesco of products while Tesco ambassadors will be on hand to share tips and recommendations on the latest international offerings from Tesco.
Serving customers better through different retail experiences and formats
The Tesco finest* store-in-store concept is the latest enhancement to FairPrice’s existing stable of six supermarket formats, which cater to different market segments: FairPrice supermarkets reach the general population with its range of groceries and essentials; FairPrice Finest provides a more cosmopolitan and premium selection for the mass affluent; FairPrice Xtra hypermarkets provide families with a one-stop shopping experience from groceries to electronics and general merchandise; FairPrice Shop caters to budget-conscious shoppers by providing a more focused range of greater value products; FairPrice Online provides online grocery shopping convenience; and Warehouse Club is a membership based warehouse format that provides greater savings through bulk buys and discounts.
