- Ceretto is widely credited for pioneering the modern style of winemaking in the Piedmont region of Italy. Its founding brothers, Bruno and Marcello Ceretto, were hailed as the Barolo Brothers in the 1960s for pioneering the concept of Cru in Italy believing that great lands produce great wines. A specialist in estate-bottled, single-vineyard wines, Ceretto makes top class Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, Dolcetto, Arneis and Moscato dAsti. Ceretto Moscato d'Asti is vinified seeking to respect the grape and its aromatic potential as much as possible. This is why it is fermented exclusively in stainless steel autoclaves so that the fruity aromas of the grape are preserved to the maximum. Furthermore, to achieve this purpose, operations such as racking by decanting, clarification and filtration are not excessively severe either. TASTING NOTE: A sparkling sweet white wine; par excellence in dessert wine. Straw-yellow in color, of varying intensity depending on the vintage, it has an intensely fruity and characteristically aromatic nose with a nice persistency. The sweet flavor is perfectly balanced with its low alcohol content and acidity, giving the wine an inviting freshness.
