WildCape is the only single source Manuka honey harvested exclusively from the East Cape region of New Zealand to your home. Geographically isolated by the Raukumara ranges to the west, the East Cape of New Zealand has remained sparsely populated and unspoiled. Often regarded as producing the finest Manuka honey in New Zealand, Manuka flowers in the East Cape region produce nectar naturally high in Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), a precursor to the compound Methylglyoxal (MGO). The result is Manuka honey with consistently higher strength and a delicious, mild flavour for you to enjoy.
Health and Wellbeing
Manuka Honey contains naturally occurring antibacterial compounds which can support immunity levels and promote throat and gut health. The honey is suitable for everybody above the age of 1.
Quality Assurance
UMF Certification WildCape honey is a member of the UMF Honey association. This means that the honey meets the strict grading criteria so that you can be assured that every jar is 100% pure, genuine and true to the label. The testing is done at independent laboratories and test certificates are available for every jar of UMF certified honey. Every jar of UMF certified honey is tested, packed and labelled in New Zealand.
UMF 10+ - Contains MGO 263+. MGO stands for Methylglyoxal and it is a naturally occurring compound found in the Manuka honey which is responsible for its antibacterial properties. The higher the UMF number, the higher the MGO content and the more antibacterial strength the honey has.
