Sesame Oil | 1 tsp |
Five Spice Powder to taste | 1⁄2 tsp |
Water to loosen the sauce | 1 tbsp |
Yu Sheng (Make your own) | |
Smoked Salmon or sashimi | 1 packet |
Wonton Wrapper cut into strips | 1 packet |
Carrots shredded | 2 |
Japanese Cucumber deseeded & shredded | 2 |
White Daikon Radish shredded | 1 |
Red Cabbage thinly sliced | 1 |
Pomelo bite-sized | 1 |
Cilantro roughly chopped | 3 bunches |
Rice Puffs | |
Roasted Peanuts crushed | |
Sesame Seeds |
How to cook
Prepare the wonton crisp
- In a saucepan filled with oil, deep fry the wonton strips over medium heat until golden and crisp.
- Drain on a paper towel lined tray then set aside.
Prepare the sauce
- Combine plum sauce, lemon juice, sesame oil, five spice powder and water in a small bowl then set aside.
Assemble and serve
- Arrange all the ingredients onto a wide plate/tray with the salmon in the center.
- Drizzle the plum sauce then toss.
