Ingredients
1 tin Whole peel tomato
1 tsp Sugar
A Pinch salt
1 tbsp of Chop basil
1 tbsp of olive oil
A pinch Black pepper (optional)
Method
- Blend whole peeled tomatoes, sugar, salt, and chopped basil until smooth.
- Cut the roti prata into your desired shape e.g. Christmas tree.
- Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the roti prata.
- Add any herbs and vegetables you like, ensuring they are easy to cook. For vegetables that take longer to cook, like carrots and broccoli, consider pre-cooking them together with your choice of meat.
- Sprinkle a mixture of cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Bake at 220°C (428°F) for 8-10 minutes. Remember to rotate the tray in between to ensure even heat distribution.
- Once out of the oven, lightly drizzle a bit of olive oil for a shining visual effect and to prevent the dish from becoming too dry.
- Your dish is now ready to be enjoyed!
